The GPHS2025 will entertain abstracts under two categories:
CATEGORY 1:
Abstracts under Category 1 should be based on the following:
- Original research studies using primary or secondary data
- Systematic reviews/meta-analysis
Abstracts are invited under the following track themes:
- Health Systems, Policy & Governance
- Infectious Disease Control & Prevention
- Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
- Environmental Health & Climate Change
- Maternal & Child Health
- Mental Health & Wellbeing
- Health Emergencies & Biosecurity
- Health Technology & Digital Innovations
- Nutrition & Food Security
- Aging & Long-Term Care
- Risk Communication & Community Engagement
- Interdisciplinary Approaches to Public Health
Structure of the abstract:
- Background
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Research work should ensure sound methodology and ethical clearance wherever relevant.
The accepted abstracts will be published in the special issue of the Journal of the College of Community Physicians (JCCPSL).
CATEGORY 2:
Abstracts under Category 2 should be based on the following:
- New initiatives in public health
- Evaluations of current public health programs
- Best practices
- Case studies/Projects
The initiatives/evaluations should be based on public health interventions/methodologies carried out by public healthcare providers at the local/regional level that showcase success/barriers/limitations and lessons learnt
Abstracts should be presented as case studies.
Structure of the abstract:
- Background
- Description of the intervention/initiative
- Methods used for the evaluation
- Results
- Lessons learnt
The accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program book of the GPHS2025.

The closing date for abstract submissions is 30th April 2025.

- Choose the category of abstracts (Category 1 or Category 2)
- Choose the preferred track (optional)
- Enter the information requested

Make sure your word count is below 250 words (1500 character count with spaces).

Font size: 12, single line spacing
Title: Title case, Bold
Author(s) name(s):
- The last name followed by initials, with the presenting author underlined (e.g., Herath PC). Do not use prefixes such as Mr/Dr/Prof.
- A superscript number should be placed after each name to refer to the respective affiliations. E.g. Herath PC1
Affiliations:
- Affiliation of all authors should be given.
- The corresponding superscript for each author should be placed before the affiliation. E.g. 1MOH Office, Kakirawa
- Please italicized the affiliations.
Upload the full abstract (Title, authors, affiliations, body and keywords) including the ethical clearance certificates (if relevant) as one PDF document using the “Upload file” option at the abstract portal.
Ensure that your abstract is in line with this guideline before submission. The abstracts that do not follow the submission guidelines will be rejected without reviewing.
Please note:
- The final decision will be notified to the corresponding author via email.
- The presenting author is required to register for the sessions upon acceptance of the abstract.
- Maximum of three abstracts could be presented by a single author.
Please note that final decision of abstract acceptance is with the abstract committee-CCPSL.
